Acid peptic disorders(APD)

  Acid peptic disorders(APD)  are the result of distinctive, but overlapping pathogenic mechanisms leading to either excessive acid secretion or diminished mucosal defense. They are very common in present daily clinical practice. 
Symptoms are:
-Burning of stomach.
-Heart burn,belching,eructations.
-Nausea and vomiting.
-Bloating or distended abdomen.


General management of APD :


 1⃣   Avoid too much spices, salt, oily and fried foods. Avoid junk foods.


2⃣Avoid hot and cold foods..Try to take slight warm foods.


3⃣Drink plenty of water. Dont drink water along with a meal, drink half an hour before or half an 


hour after a meal. Avoid carbonated drinks.

4⃣Drinking a glass of warm milk will help to reduce acute episodes of heart burn. 


5⃣Take a spoon of coconut milk on empty stomach atleast for 2 Weeks will help to control heart burn and burning of stomach.
or having a tender coconut with its flesh on early morning on empty stomach for 2 Weeks.


6⃣Try to take any food in every 2 hrs. Dont skip meals.


7⃣Try to include more fruits and fibre containing diets in food.


8⃣Try to minimise non veg especially red meat.


9⃣Spend 40Mints daily for any physical excercises like walking,swimming, cycling.


🔟Try to control your tensions and emotional imbalance by doing yoga and breathing excercises.


Eat healthy foods and stay healthy.


-Keep in mind, this APD is common during pregnancy, in child bed and also in elderly, try to manage it without unnecessary medications.
